What do you like most about your current role?
I really enjoy the relaxed pace I experience at The Boy Scouts of America. I think it’s important to give back to the community, and I feel good about serving an important purpose.

What experience did you gain from Perot Systems that helped lead you to where you are today?
The people dynamics at Perot Systems was fantastic. The environment fostered teamwork and innovation, and we were encouraged to think outside the box. I can take that attitude with me anywhere and encourage my co-workers to step up and share their ideas.

Who was your role model or mentor during your career at Perot Systems?
I looked to Paul Turevon as someone to emulate. He was there for the right reasons, and always ready to do the right thing. I appreciated that he encouraged his team to bring their ideas to the table and was willing to give them a try!

What did you do prior to joining Perot Systems?
I have many years of compensation experience, and I put that experience to work at the Superconducting Super Collider Laboratory. I also earned a CCP designation (Certified Compensation Professional).

What do you like to do outside of work?
My husband and I love to travel, and we plan a family trip each year.  More importantly, we also plan a special trip once per year.  No kids allowed!  We spend our time camping and hiking, and this year we will visit Utah. We’ve visited Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Washington, Wyoming and Canada.  We’ve visited my favorite spot twice, Lake Tahoe, California. When given the time, I also enjoy still life painting. I just haven’t had the time to do much of it lately.

Spending time with my three teenagers is my other pastime.  Yes, three of them – enough said. They are all currently attending Lewisville High School. My oldest daughter, Tiffany, will be graduating next year, then continuing her education with classes at a local community college. My son, Chris, is a junior, involved in technical theatre production, and considering a career in pharmacy.  My youngest daughter, Kelly is a sophomore, and a member of the choir and swim team.
