Exhibit, high profile speakers, customer testimonials and prospect events increase awareness, support sales efforts Each spring, the Perot Systems Consulting team exhibits at the annual SAP SAPPHIRE conference—this year held in Atlanta, GA. With more than 16,000 attendees, this was by far the largest event they’ve had.
Current SAP customers and prospects, as well as SAP specialists, convened last month to discover how SAP IT solutions can “help run their business at the speed of change.” SAP increasingly continues to market to mid-sized companies—a niche where Perot Systems has momentum, as well. “With our metals, chemicals and milled products industry expertise, we are able to focus our efforts on a targeted market that is quickly evolving. This show brings together interested prospects and highlights our expertise in these areas, giving us exposure that we would not get otherwise,” said Gary Yirinec, Perot Systems’ consulting business development director for SAP. The team continues to gain momentum in these markets. A $20 million technology consulting and business process services deal, signed earlier this year with Albany International, stands as a true testament to the expertise, quality of work, and momentum this team has built over the past year.
In addition to the metals and chemicals solutions announced last year, this year the consulting team created milled products, chemical and xMII product demos to showcase within the exhibit. A constant flow of interested prospects viewed the demonstrations led by Perot Systems SAP experts Tom Ring, Glenn Kraskey, Ravi Rai and Jay Monahan. A client/prospect dinner hosted representatives from 18 companies, including representatives from current Perot Systems clients Vought, Albany International, Nortel, MAG, Thomas Steel Strip, Ryerson, Sentry Safe and Altivity. “The annual client/prospect dinner gives us the opportunity to say thank you to our current customers and get to know our current prospects better,” noted Joe Weger, host of the event and Perot Systems global SAP practice leader. “We enjoy spending valuable time with key customers and prospects outside of our day-to-day deadlines. This is a great event for us, and each year gets bigger and better.” In addition, Weger and Rai co-presented a well-attended session entitled, “How the SAP xMII Composite Application Enables Adaptive Manufacturing.” (View the webcast session here.) The manufacturing presentation found a very interested audience, with many attendees staying to ask specific questions about Perot Systems’ solutions. In separate sessions, existing clients OMNOVA and Sentry Safe spoke about how their companies have improved business results by leveraging their investment in SAP, which Perot Systems successfully implemented. As a result, both clients have further engaged Perot Systems to do follow-on work. Additional information: |
