Perot Systems Strengthens Healthcare Market Position with Acquisition of JJWILD
Acquisition Enhances Company’s MEDITECH Expertise

Perot Systems has entered into an agreement to acquire JJWild, Inc., the preferred provider of integrated healthcare technology solutions for organizations using the MEDITECH Healthcare Information System. The agreement to acquire the Canton, Massachusetts based company was announced on Monday, August 13, 2007.

“In JJWild, I believe that we have found an exciting company and a team of professional, dynamic people to work with to further our mission to help our healthcare clients increase the quality of care to patients, while driving down their overall costs,” said CEO Peter Altabef.

What is MEDITECH?

MEDITECH provides clinical and financial software to health care organizations to address these issues: outcomes, clinical workflow, revenue and resource management, and electronic and personal health records. From large integrated delivery networks to community hospitals, MEDITECH’s software solutions support the entire continuum of health care, including physician practices, clinics, hospitals, home health agencies, long-term care and behavioral health facilities.

Perot Systems’ ability to offer services to a full range of hospitals is enhanced with JJWild’s expertise and market position, and the acquisition will drive continued growth in domestic and selected international healthcare markets. JJWild has enjoyed a close partnership with MEDITECH for over 20 years, and has helped more than 1,000 healthcare organizations develop their MEDITECH healthcare information system.  The company has a significant presence among mid-market providers in the United States and Canada, and serves a number of clients outside of North America.
