How long has Perot Systems been in business?
Ross Perot and eight associates founded Perot Systems Corporation in June 1988, but our experience extends even further. In 1962, Mr. Perot established Electronic Data Systems (EDS)—and at the same time, the IT services industry. The founding team of Perot Systems brought diverse industry, technical, and management expertise to the enterprise.
How long has Perot Systems been in Europe?
We opened a London office in 1992, beginning an expansion into Europe and, eventually, into Asia and the Pacific Rim. The first significant European client was Europcar, a leading global rental car company. Since then, Perot Systems has transformed the vehicle rental industry in both Europe and the United States with technology that includes curbside check-in, centralised fleet tracking, and online maintenance scheduling functionality.
Is Perot Systems affiliated with EDS?
No. Ross Perot sold EDS to General Motors in 1984 and founded Perot Systems four years later. He has served on the Board of Directors of Perot Systems from April 1988 to August 1994 and from November 1997 to the present. From April 1988 to June 1992 and again from August 2000 to September 2004, Mr. Perot held the position of chairman of the company .
