Global Biotechnology Company: ISO/IEC20000 Certification
We were selected by our client to drive the implementation of an ISO/IEC20000 service management implementation project because of our expertise and experience in the field of implementation of ITIL based IT service management standards.
“We were establishing a brand new IS department and I wanted to provide a structure so that the department could grow globally,” explains the Corporate IS Director. “Secondly, we needed to comply with Sarbanes Oxley legislative requirements and achieve ISO/IEC 20000 certification.”
This project gave us the opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to delivering IT best practices, improving internal controls and implementing continuing process improvement. It involved close collaboration and a combination of our best practice, consistent documentation and controls, policies and processes.
“They provided a unique blend of world class best practices, integrated processes and comprehensive policies that empower us to achieve service management excellence — a proven roadmap to turn best practices into reality. They showed us the long terms strategic direction for the company as well as our short term requirements which would be fulfilled under the Sarbanes Oxley legislative requirements,” said the CIO.
“We have the documentation and 7 policies and 15 processes which we need to roll out to the company worldwide. The job in hand is to get all of this embedded around the group", says the CIO. “We have offices both in Europe and the United States. Once we have everything in place, the benefits will be very significant. We are well on our way to achieving Sarbanes Oxley and ISO/IEC 20000 certification.”
