Developing IT Blueprint for a Leading European Communication Company

Our client is a leading European communications company, providing a comprehensive range of advanced products offering voice, data and Internet services. Leading the growth of broadband, the company has broadband enabled over 1.5 million customer lines, and currently has 120,000 broadband connections. Several IT system changes were implemented in order to handle the higher levels of broadband customers, both professionally and efficiently.

Original Solutions, now a Perot Systems company, was selected to document the complex business rules and data structures contained within the legacy customer and ordering systems, in order to develop an order management and workflow engine, underpinned by web service access, to mainframe data and program components.

The Perot Systems team in successfully delivered a number of mainframe web services by using the Shadow software suite from Neon Systems to provide a secure and high performance connection to the various mainframe components identified during the legacy assessment phase.
