Ferenc Szelényi

Managing Director, EMEA

Ferenc Szelényi is the Perot Systems Managing Director for EMEA, and is responsible for leading business development and expansion of the company’s operations in Europe and the Middle East.

Mr. Szelényi has more than 20 years of experience in business development and senior leadership roles. He has an extensive background in strategy development, organizational leadership, and the management of multi-million-dollar businesses.

Mr. Szelényi’s sales and marketing experience spans numerous markets in information technology and e-commerce. Prior to joining Perot Systems, Mr. Szelényi spent two years as Founder and Managing Director for Morningstar Developments Ltd. where he focused on the internationalization of innovative products and services, along with implementation of sales and marketing strategies.

Mr. Szelényi began his career at IBM, where for more than 10 years he progressed through successive IT solution sales and marketing roles, culminating as Director of Electronic Commerce Solutions for IBM Europe, where he was responsible for revenues of $500 million.

Prior to IBM, Mr. Szelényi served as a board member for Karstadt Quelle New Media AG, AND was a Partner at Price Waterhouse Coopers Consulting, where he was responsible for IT Services in Germany, Austria, and Russia with revenues of more €40 million. He led a restructure of the solution portfolio and the sales teams in Germany and Austria, and a successful launch into Eastern Europe and Russia. He also oversaw a program of customer acquisition in the telecommunications vertical. Mr. Szelényi also served previously as CEO of T-Systems Italy, the Italian subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, where he turned the company from a capture outsourcing services company to a full service provider in the Italian market.

Mr. Szelényi received his Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Information Technology and Economics from the University of Linz, Austria, and earned an MS in Business Management from SDA Bocconi Mailand, Italy.
