Anuroop (Tony) Singh was elected a director of Perot Systems in March 2005. Mr. Singh is an experienced business leader and member on the Board of leading professionally-managed and values-driven corporate and not-for-profit entities across sectors. These include Perot Systems, SOS Children's Villages of India, Society for Integrated Development of Himalayas (SIDH), and Max Healthcare Institute Ltd. Mr. Singh also serves as the non-executive Vice Chairman of Max India Ltd., Max New York Life Insurance Co. Ltd., and Max Bupa Ltd.

He has more than three decades of experience in the financial services sector. His emphasis on core values-based operations has helped build many successful organizations. Mr. Singh also mentors young start-up entrepreneurs and has a keen interest in philanthropy.

Prior to his Board assignments, Mr. Singh was CEO and Managing Director of Max New York Life Insurance Company. Earlier, Mr. Singh was Country Head, India and Regional Head, Retail Banking, Middle East and South Asia, for ANZ Grindlays Bank; Country General Manager for Retail Banking at the Bank of America, and worked for 15 years in various positions with American Express.

Qualifying as a chartered accountant, Mr. Singh did his articleship from A.F. Ferguson and Co. He also worked overseas, with Ernst & Young. An alumnus of Doon School, Dehradun and the University of Delhi, Mr. Singh is married and has two children. He lives and spends his time across India, Europe, and the United States.
